What I think is if someone is unhappy being homosexual and it does not work and they already have bad self esteem, then they should approach change -if they want. I myself, worked through self esteem issues , and because of that, I moved from gay to straight (and religion did not play a part). For many guys , they feel they are "destined" to be gay and s they should not fight it, and their peers would never accept them as straight, because thy have been with men. I forced myself to be stronger, to gain some guts and say, hey, my feelings for girls are strong and I'm going to feel i have a right to act on them. But I also identified why i wanted men, so my "lighbulb" moment was easy. So for those of you out there like me - do what you want in life and heal. And for those happy being gay..stay that way in happiness..now isn;t that easier?

"...living a celibate gay life is just as sinful as living a sexually promiscuous one"...?

This is the same Chambers who said two years ago, <a href="http://www.exgaywatch.com/wp/2005/04/pax-hosts-peace/" rel="nofollow">"Certainly. I think celibacy is an option."</a>

Alan states, "My attraction greatly dimminished over the course of many years. Sixteen years into it my life isn’t even remotely the same as it once was."

Of course this often happens with age. As we get older, sexual desire often diminishes. So is it Jesus making these changes or simply the natural dwindling of male libido?

In many of these ex-gay testimonies the complexity of human sexuality and biology rarely come into the discussion. Are some of these "successful" ex-gays actually bisexual thus enabling them to have a successful heterosexual relationship? Do some have lower libidos than others thus enabling them to stuff their desires longer and more effectively than someone who is more sexually wired?
