This kid comes from the area where Rick Scarborough used to preach his intolerance.

Paul Broussard was murdered by suburbanite Houston teens from the very area Rev. Rick used to preach in Houston.

The Ritcheson case and tragic suicide is another tragic result and example of the intolerance and hate being spewed by these nutty preachers – many of the Southern Baptist conventions’ so called “leaders.”

Very tragic. Why hasn’t this made headline, national news, I wonder? Why are the gatekeepers filtering this story? This is perfect evidence that a national hate crimes law is needed (and faith-based bigotry is alive and thriving).

This is so very sad. What fundimentalist preachers do not understnad is their rhetoric creates an atmosphere where such an event could occur. Some may say that Mr. Mangum is menatlly unstable, and I am sure he is. But if the atmosphere of hatred had not been established, I doubt he would have carried out the crime.

I also find it interesting that he felt the need to state that he was “definately not a homosexual.” Who is he trying to convince?
