[UNHOLY] Rev. Rick Scarborough of Lufkin, Texas based Vision America is the perfect choice for your award.

His latest Crusade of Hate is attracting pitiful response/attendance.

Lufkin,Tx kickoff -300 Crusaders (his hometown)
Houston, Tx -180 Crusaders (largest SBC church in the state)

He is an religious nut extremist of the worst kind. He pays himself several hundred thousand dollars via his nonprofit Vision America and numerous affiliated websites (all with handy donate now pages)

He thinks it is OK to bring a gun to church, he opposes stem cell research despite the death last year of his 24 year old marathon runner daughters illness. His rallies attract even nuttier homobigot cultist preachers like WN Otwell of East Texas, he thinks Tom Delay is a Saint.

Assclown of the year – Rev.Rick.

The Martyrs are the suicides and hate crimes victims in the GLBT community – their blood is on the hands of these extremist wackos who call themselves preachers.

What I always find sadly humorous is that when need be, we GLBT folks are just a small minority, you know the 3% or the population thing. But when it comes to forwarding the right’s agenda, we are a huge Goliath out to destroy their tiny David.

Excellent stuff, but yeah, you should have a graphic for it. I’m not a graphic designer or anything but I know my way around photoshop and I could try to make something.

As Peter LaBarbera is also Porno Pete, maybe it could be an angry man pointing at a big dildo. Or just a big dildo with an angry-man face. Uhh… OK, maybe not. Let’s brainstorm!

Well now, how come Rick Scarborough didn’t crow about repealing EXISTING hate crimes legislation?

The Right is whining way too much about extending these protections to include the GLBT community. It makes me start wondering if, eventually, their plans had indeed involved encouraging violence. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
