“Finally, there is now scientific evidence to prove what we as former homosexuals have known all along - that those who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction can experience freedom from it.”

What a boldfaced lie. The successes even admit they are not without same-sex attractions, feelings, desires, or fantasies, they just have very few of them.

But I guess they like to redefine freedom so as to include the occasional gay thought, kind of like naive teenagers think they're still virgins after they've had a ton of oral sex.

As always, there are just six words:

Ted Haggard
Lonnie Latham
Paul Barnes

We could probably add Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swagart.

CHAMBERS: “Finally, there is now scientific evidence to prove what we as former homosexuals have known all along - that those who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction can experience freedom from it.”

"...these study findings give credence to our existence as men and women whose lives have been transformed by Jesus Christ."

So we now have scientific evidence of Jesus Christ?

As long as fear is running the show, there will never be accurate findings.

Who writes Exodus press-releases? Cause it sure is not Chambers. Oh yeah, Ensley. The release is all ga-ga saying:

....recent research showing change in sexual orientation to be possible...

While Chambers comment is:

...those who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction can experience freedom from it.

That is two completely different things. Chambers is hedging his answer in the idea that orientation doesn't seem to be changeable. Chambers and Ensley certainly do not see eye to eye.

Another seventeen decided that celibacy was good enough. Not what I’d call freedom, but hey -- different strokes, right?

Uh, that is not freedom from homosexuality but rather just plain 'ol celibacy. Sorry Exodus but celibate gay men\women does not = Ex-gay no more than a celibate heterosexual = an ex-heterosexual.

Is that coffee I smell Jim?
