Personally, I like “queer” more than even just LGBT. It’s simple and more personal. And Queer is infinitely flexible to include or stop including any sexual minority imaginable. Ten years ago, I don’t think we anticipated asexuals being added and ten years from now I predict another group will come for support and inclusion that are currently unknown, unorganized, or have no need of the queer community.

At least “NARTH” can be pronounced, unlike LGBT.

I’m all for being part of the “A-Z” community, though.

In all seriousness, though. Why don’t we just start calling ourselves the GSA community? Gay to Straight Alliance.

I’m all for trimming the alphabet soup to fewer letters I’m all for QUEER.

If you don’t like that one then find something you like better but until we stop being letters and start being a community then we’re never going to be able to stand up against the ones that are against us.

Besides if we were all letters then I’m a TLhClPSiSbGC (Transsexual, Left handed, Center left, Pagan, Straight identified, Soft-butch, Girl, Culinarian) this is just a sample I can go on until I use most of the english alphabet to describe myself a few times over.
