i love family guy, but it really bugs me that macfarlane and so many others believe it’s just a forgone conclusion that sexual orientation is controlled by genetics. and thus we should base the rest of our struggle for equal rights on this claim. am i the only one who’s life is a little more complicated than that?

That reminds me that I was a heterosexual guy until I was in my early twenties – at least, I TRIED to be, but it didn’t work. The problem was that I just wasn’t erotically attracted to girls.

I wonder: could this possibly be why ex-gay programmes and other “cures” for homosexuality are seldom, if ever, effective?

Actually as far as the character of Meg goes in the movie “The Stewie Griffin Story” they establish that in the future Meg transitions to Ron.

Ah. Hmmm. Is McFarland one of us? I’d be happy to claim him as one of our own. He’s pretty funny. And he has a BEAUTIFUL speaking voice.

I’m almost embarassed to admit but I am a huge fan of Family Guy. My favorite character is Meg who, despite her protestations of heterosexuality, is OBVIOUSLY a lesbian.

Anyway Kudos to Family Guy, this episode will stick in the craw of many a Fundamentalist Christian.
