Who are you quoting, Joel? It sounds like an anti-gay activist.

To date, the very limited comparisons between same-sex couples and opposite-sex couples have demonstrated that children do about as well in either family.

This is what the commission reported.

Anti-gays will use studies that compare single mothers to married couples (which do show that children in an intact family do better than those raised by one parent) and then extrapolate that to falsely claim that opposite sex married families are better for children than gay families.

It's dishonest - and they know it - but they say it anyway. Sigh.

"“The commission attempted to make a claim that children being raised in a home with same-sex parents do as well as children being raised by their biological, married parents," she said. "But there is no evidence to back that up.” "

How true is this statement with regards to the commision?
