Its like they know what the trend is on the most, what we call 'civilized' and progressive countries. SInce Russia does want to be considered in this group well... they wana be leaders in progression, which in this case would be to criminilize homosexuality. They know that if you let it slide and be indifferent, gays will eventually have all the rights heterosexuals share, and that is utterly wrong(apparantly). So, instead of following the trend they want to have a new one in their 'civilized' and 'progressive' country. If this recriminilization of homosexuality happens here again then it might inspire others in.. well... i dont know... the gay marriage baned amended states to follow in their steps. After all... why exactly is it were not equal to heterosexuals(assuming marraige is not a 'for procreating institution')? I think russia has internet.
