To all,
I am the PIO at the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. My name is Susann Griffin and my first name is almost always mispelled. However, I can assure you that our investigation was thorough and there is not one shred of evidence that supports Ables allegations. He claimed he had just returned from a gay pride parade on July 13th in the Atlanta area when the actual parade was held on the 6th. He did not contact our office in regards to these allegations until July 16th...........three days after the alleged the incident occurred. There was not nor was there ever any bruising or markings on Ables body to support that he had been hit with a baseball bat.
The reason the press release is not posted on our website is simply due to the fact that I had an extremely hectic day. I will post it tomorrow. You should also check the website of www.seanslastwish.com tomorrow as they are preparing their own release. They had tried to offer assistance to Ables. As usual, there are elements of an investigation that are not able to be divulged as Ables will be tried in a court of law and not in the media.
Be assured that there was enough information submitted to a judge who then found probable cause to issue a warrant for filing a false police report

I've been looking into this story further and your source at QNotes is quoting from a purported "press release" that is for some odd reason, not available on the Anderson County (S.C.) Sheriff's Dept. website and misspells the first name of the P.I.O. who would have wrote it... Something is definitely fishy about this story.

Such allegations are difficult to make if you don't (a) have witnesses and (b) have medical evidence of an assault. Without both of those it boils down to a he said he said scenario.

Hopefully, Ables will be able to come up with some credible evidence to support his charges.
