Assuming the UK's gay divorce rate stays stable at 1%, that means the married citizens of Nevada are over six times more likely to divorce than married British gays.

Of course that figure only accounts for straight Nevadans, since gay Nevadans are banned from marrying within their own state...

"Evidence from the UK shows that one out of five homosexual 'marriages' won't see their 21st anniversary." --Bigot

How did I get that? Let's see. So over two years 1% of gays have filed for divorce. Since they aren't eligible for divorce for the first year that means that for each year [so far] that they have been eligible for divorce one out of every 100 gay marriages have either been dissolved or is process of being dissolved.

Extrapolate that for the next 19 years (21 years of marriage), assuming that the divorce rate stays even (and there isn't any *evidence* that it won't be), and you have 20% divorce rate or one out of five.

Isn't it lovely how you can spin statistics if you try hard enough?
