Better late than never, I suppose.

Kudos to Senator Feinstein for declaring her support in opposing Prop. 8

I'm sure that she has her dedicated followers and all the better that they will do her bidding.

Thanks Di, we couldn't have done it without you *rolls eyes*. I really don't know what to say about Prop 8. I suspect that despite the opinion polls it will pass and strip gay and lesbian californians of their recent victory. It may pass by a slim majority but it will still pass. I say this as a natural born cynic. I've never had 'faith' in my fellow man to do the right thing. People lie about poll questions all the time to try and impress the pollsters. I honestly hope Prop 8 is defeated. Like all cynics I'm secretly pleased to be proven wrong. But I'm not going to hold my breath.

Well screw her. I'll never forgive her for so publicly blaming gays pushing for marriage for the Kerry loss in 2004 (even though polls proved that that was not the case). Besides, it wasn't gay people, for the most part who were pushing the issue. It was mostly straight people looking to stir up a wedge issue during an election year.

DiFi has thrown the gays under the bus MANY times thoughout her political career. I find that to be all the more disgusting seeing as she's from San Francisco.

I really despise the woman.

Ben the reason that these leaders including republicans like Schwarzenegger oppose the amendment is because they unlike crazies on the right understand that gender neutral marriage is an inevitability. Maybe it isn't the right reason but at least they aren't in denial like James Dobson, Beverly LaHaye, Don Wildmon etc.

I have a very long memory.

What choice did the lady have, after all? She could be for it or agin' it, and since she hosted a wedding for two women twenty five years ago, long before reality was kicking her in the butt, she could hardly do the latter without looking like a major hypocrite.

Pardon me. My cynicism about the quality of our leaders must be showing. It's hard for me to believe that they act from priciple, instead of from mere opportunity. I'm sure they would have the courage of their convictions-- if they had any convictions.

Excuse me while I tidy up.

Sniff.
