We held a fundraiser two weeks ago in Western Mass. We raised $1,700, with a $2,000 match from a very generous donor ... a total of $3,700 for Equality California.

Just doing whatever we can to help out the cause :-0)

I just got an email from the campaign saying thanks to those large donations they're now able to do matching pledges up to $1 million.

They thank Steve Bing so I dont know if his $500k is guaranteed or just depending on how much people are matching.

I plan on donating even though I wont have a job come January. And next week I hope to volunteer for the phone banks in Northern California.

Timothy,

I am very happy to hear this! I know I gave up my Palm Springs trip to donate the money to the No campaign. I have worked additional donations in my budget each pay period for EQCA and the No on Prop 8 campaign and will continue to do so through the election. I have tried several times to volunteer for phone banking, but the Long Beach and LA phone banks are booked full through the election so I will do what I can in Orange County. Thanks to all who have donated and fought for equality in California, Arizona, and Florida!
