The neo-cons know that a Federal Marriage Amendment would be doomed to failure. That’s not their point. They just want to use this as a “wedge” issue and get their base out of their lazyboys and voting for Republicans in upcoming elections.

This is just bait. That’s the whole point! If they do end up passing whatever Amendment, then even better (in their mind), they’re just rable rousing the base.

The likelihood of such an amendment even being making it out of the United States Congress is next to nil…….and, then three quarters of the states would have to approve it. It would all be a wasted effort.

Why does it have to be one way or the other? I’m all for marriage equality (which means I’m AGAINST traditional marriage?). Bullcrap! How does allowing gays to marry harm traditional marriage? I am tired of hearing about this ‘pro-family/traditional values’ crap. Mrs. Palin, if you support traditional marriage, go campaign for the benefits of marital and premarital counseling. Discuss ways and provide resources to prevent infidelity and divorce.

I’m not going to be out there judging individuals, sitting in a seat of judgment telling what they can and can’t do, should and should not do, but I certainly can express my own opinion here and take actions that I believe would be best for traditional marriage and that’s casting my votes and speaking up for traditional marriage…

Please, Governor Palin, explain to me exactly how voting to prohibit people from marrying is not the same as sitting in judgment of them and passing a sentence on them.
