We talked at Sunday brunch about that aspect. The Catholics and the Evangelicals are all sitting back with big grins on their faces saying: “Look how the Mormons are spending THEIR millions on this.”

Isn’t it Ironic that the very religion (the Mormon Church) that the Evangelicals tend to despise and brand as a “non-Christian cult” is actually out-donating them on this issue that they (Evangelicals) brought forth in California – prop 8? Joseph Smith, Brigham Young and other early LDS leaders would roll in their graves to know that the Church that Joseph founded is in cahoots with the enemy that persecuted the Mormon church from New York to Utah – the protestant/Evangelical.

I often wish that my husband and I would win the PowerBall (When it hits $200 Million) and then donate $10 Million of it to each of the "No on Prop. xxx" campaigns around the country! And still have plenty left over! California - Vote "NO" on Prop. 8! Arizona - Vote "NO" on Prop. 102! AGAIN! Florida - Vote "NO" on Amendment 2! Connecticut - Vote "NO" on Question 1!

Alan C. Ashton made his fortune with WordPerfect.

Bruce Bastian, co-founder of (guess what!) WordPerfect, made his million dollar donation to the NO on Prop 8.

Mr. Ashton and Mr. Bastian are probably not talking to each other after this.
