It was more somber and emotional than a gay rights rally would have been but most gleaned from the crowd a palpable feeling of understanding and support. Ex-Mormon Mother Millie Watts tearfully acknowledged the show of support and mentioned how it is <i>Mothers who will come out of the closet to protect their sons and daughters.</i> The candlelight vigil was the top news on all the local TV channels.
