Boo,

After perusing some of the Mormon discussion boards I've seen the same attitude. They think they're doing nothing wrong by forcing their views on people in any way necessary. They're 'saving' us whether we want it or not. And if anybody dare protest we're the bad guys because we're preventing them from practicing their religion as they see fit. Scary.

A couple of Mormon missionaries showed up at my door last night, and we got into the Prop 8 thing. One thing I have to give them credit for- they were 100 times more honest than virutally all other Prop 8 supporters. They stated quite openly that they thought it was ok to use the government to force their religious beliefs on people.

In the linked newspaper article it states:

<blockquote>"...Clayton said the church is not against gays, and that many gays take part in the church."</blockquote>

That nebulous number described by the adjective: many.

I dare predict the spokesman Clayton cannot produce ONE example of an out gay Mormon who takes part in his Church. Not one. Because, (do I have to tell Mormons this?) if you are gay you're NOT WELCOME in an LDS Church. You will be severely limited in your participation even if you are completely chaste and celibate. You're more likely a seat warmer in the chapel.

There might be some rare examples of self-loathing gay Mormons going to an LDS Ward-House each Sunday but hardly what you call: "many".

That woman in the car looks so hateful. Funny how they claim religion makes you moral yet it makes them behave like that.

When we were in SJ the other day one person drove by waving a Bible at us. If he weren't on the opposite side of the road I would have advised him to read Matthew 7:12. It seems so few of our opponents have read it, and they certainly don't follow it.
