They want us to have opposite-sex spouses, in which case the companies would still be providing the health benefits anyway.

There are really three categories here: 1. Homo spouses living honest lives; 2. Hetero spouses living honest lives; and 3. Homos faking it with opposite sex partners (there are lots of them). It’s really those in that third category who are the perverts harming marriage, and maybe they are the ones who should have their benefits withdrawn, if they could be identified. That would save the auto companies more money than focusing on the honest homos.

I love how someone pointed out how his math was off by a factor of over ten, and he just blithely pushed on. “Well, the math may be off, but the principal still stands”.

I’m constantly amazed at how powerful we are. We cause companies to collapse, natural disasters to occur, solar eclipses (well, I’m guessing there), and so on. Yet, we seem singularly incapable of concentrating our enormous powers on getting treated like everyone else! Maybe it’s time to resort to threats: if you don’t let us marry we will cause a massive earthquake that will destroy Fresno!

So if we follow this guy’s logic to its natural conclusion, straight couples (weirdos) are an even bigger problem than The Homosexuals.

Maybe the companies should remove health care benefits for all spouses and dependents. Which, of course, would indicate that the real problem (using his logic) is the cost of health insurance itself.
