As a libertarian, I don’t always agree with Supervisor Dufty’s “progressive” politics, but he’s pretty solid on gay issues.

Bevan Dufty has done more to harm the gay community than any other member of the board. He shut down Halloween in the Castro, because he failed at coming up with alternative plans for the larger crowds. He has never been prominent in the fight for gay marriage rights, and he has been a consistent apologized for the right wing.

He’s an embarrassment to the community. This sort of resolution (you’d think he’d care more about the dissolution of our marriages which was perpetrated by the Catholic church than a minor paint incident) is typical of the crap he does.

But, no, Bevan would rather worry about a little paint than the damage the church has done to our lives.

Just wanted to point out that the church in question is in Dufty’s district. It’s not at all unusual for supervisors to introduce this kind of symbolic legislation in situations like this which concern their constituents.

Something funny just hit me and that is stereotypically heterosexuals people believe that gay people are very meek and and nonassertive. Now without having any facts they are quick to contribute any violence to gay people. (rolling eyes)

Didn’t a previous post state that the church attacked is gay-friendly? Saying that it was caused by gays seems more to say they were victims than perpetrators. Don’t expect any mea culpa! Once they make-up their minds (and their fantasies) there is little to force them to recant. …And just how is the SF Board of Supervisors responsible — an appointed sub-committee??
