First, there’s the massive bronze Defender sculpture in the main lobby of the church outside the “living room.” This is an angel of manliest variety, hairy and buff enough to burst the button crotch on a bear’s best jeans.

Classy. The author makes some good points, but this stuff is only “correct” if we are to believe that all gay men (or even most of them) are obsessed with ripped, porn-star bodies and looking at artwork that implies sexual acts between men are about to take place, or that every closeted person in the congregation looks and acts like a “twink.”

And in light of the law enforcement influence the church seems to have, i hope the opposite turns out to be true and people are prosecuted.
