Fat chance it will happen. Exodus will basically ignore you: you’re homosexual activists afterall.

Exodus is ‘never wrong’. They will not act unless you can find a way to humiliate them in a wider media. I fear that too many are worried about their mortgages to expend even a brain cell worrying about human rights abuses in Uganda. Or in the US of A.

It’s times like these that us agnostics really did wish there WAS a God who eventually punished people for failing to keep the Golden Rule.

Alas, we don’t. We only have one lifetime to fight for justice.

I too am perplexed.

I have no difficulty whatsoever condemning genocide, mass murder, incarceration of political dissidents, forced reorientation, life sentences for concentual adult relationships, pogroms, ethnic cleansing, religious persecution, demonization of minorities, holocaust revisionism, or attacks on freedoms of speech or association.

Because I never find myself in the position of asking which human rights abuses Jesus would endorse. I already know the answer; none.

What is Exodus doing right now? finger in the wind? Head in the sand?

How spineless, and ultimately un-Christ-like!

This should not be a difficult call for anyone with an iota of integrity to make.

Unless, of course, they have no problem with the pogrom, which I suspect IS the case.

Even if he does issues some kind of statement distancing himself from this disgusting fiasco in Uganda, the damage is done. Exodus can’t come out too strongly against what’s going on in Uganda or they risk alienating their base (conservative anti-gay xtians). Any apology or attempt to distance themselves is going to be weak and clearly a p.r. move at this point.
