You’d think that if the HRC actually WAS the most powerful lobbying group in the world that it wouldn’t be such a struggle to get legislators to do the right thing on gay civil rights issues. They’d be under too much pressure not to. Sadly, that’s not the case (yet).

If only the HRC (and other gay rights organizations) had as much power in the real world as they do in the fevered imaginations of the anti-gay haters.

Why the insistence on using the medical term “homosexuality”?

Because it has the word “sex” in it. And that’s what gays are about, right? SEXSEXSEXSEX. Many times commenters will use the word “homoSEXuals” to mock the practice.

It may also be a way to emphasize the medical condition of being homosexual, in order to make it seem like a pathology rather than a simple condition.
