Finally!

It is amazing that this debate is still happening, it is bewildering that we are still asking ourselves if civil right should really apply to all citizens. Suppressing a minority can take many forms, and there should be no disillusion about what we are talking about here. Racism and homophobia are for instance no different from one and other. For all you people venting your anger over decisions like these you are no different than those who threw themselves to the ground to protest the decision to introduce race integrated universities in the US in the 50s and 60s. Time will expose you as just that.

I was afraid it was a april joke at first, but its the day after now, and all newspapers still says it is true (and the rightwing loons are still screaming bloody murder with a kind of pathetic sobbering at the same time! :-)
So I guess its official!

(As I said, I am disgustingly PROUD of my contry right now!)

if theres one thing i like more than that they passed this legislation, its the overwhelming majority that voted for it. I cant fathom any state having this much support for SS marriage.

Not that it was unexpected, but it feels VERY good (and it makes me disgustingly proud about my contry!!!

Its not before autumn that the Swedish church decides if homosexuals should be able to marry in church (we will keep you informed!).
But Civil marriages aso. will be OK from the start of this law…

In fact Swedish marriages are the longest lasting in the World ;=)

Marriages lasting 50 or 60 years are not uncommon.
