Good news in New York, btw.  The state Senator who is taking up the SSM legalization bill thinks he has sufficient votes together to get passage.

In New Jersey the grapevine is that the governor and legislature will pass it during the lame duck session after their elections there, like they did their death penalty repeal in their lame duck session last time (December 2007 iirc).

Lastly, MassEquality&#039;s Marc Solomon has now gone to work for CalEquality.  If anyone can organize a successful referendum that repeals Prop. 8, it&#039;s him.</description>
