Regan,

I was unable to make it (though I was there in spirit) but I heard it was wonderful.

A coworker told me that he was really impressed by the number - and broad range - of clergy who were there to support equality and justice. He found Choi to be truly impressive and was moved by Rev. Lee, especially when Lee said that he knew Dr. King and that Dr. King would have been there.

I really wish that we had better utilized people like Choi and Lee and the other clergy before November's vote and that we don't make that mistake next time.

I was there. I could count several of the initial speakers as friends and I am proud of each and every one of the marchers.

We needed it. We needed to comfort each other and plan ahead. I was VERY impressed with Lt. Daniel Choi. He gave a beautiful speech in Korean and English which was about the purpose of love.
He quoted Kahlil Gibran, about the comforts of love.
He is a tremendously charismatic man as is Rev. Lee of the SCLC.
I saw so many friends there. The young man I mentored since he was 17 and new to CA. He's a serious activist and has been since.
Clergy friends Rabbis' Lisa and Denise. Friends whose weddings I attended last year...and so many beautiful and friendly children.
It was my favorite kind of Pride parade.
I will stay with this activism until the goal is realized and fairness is the order of the day.
All for love, as Lt. Daniel Choi said.
All for love...
