To all my buddies in Nevada (mostly in Reno and one in particular who works at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas): Now may you find joy and find a little less to worry about with living in Nevada.

With no State tax and a real estate market that is ripe with bargains perhaps Nevada might become a mecca for gays.

Matt: they’re not even close. California’s domestic partnerships are required by court fiat to give every single right possible except the word “marriage.” Nevada’s doesn’t even require businesses there to provide benefits to employee partners.

This I didn’t expect. But domestic partnerships polling at 79% for, 21% against in Nevada is also almost eerie and shocking.

I’m wondering if somebody can compare the Nevada and California statutes and see how similar/different they are.
