Inferior in "every" way? So if I believe we're on equal ground intellectually but that gays are sinful and disordered in their relationships, I'm not being heterosexist?

I apologize if this strays too far from the topic, but I'm reminded of something a friend said after a season finale of Grey's Anatomy. She said, "There was boys kissin' girls and girls kissin' boys all over the place!" I said, "Yeah, there should have been some boys kissin' boys for balance." We both laughed, but, for me, it highlighted how a same-sex kiss between two women is somewhat accepted in prime-time television but between two men it still seems taboo. Even in shows with gay male characters it seems they either have to be single or keep any signs of affection off-screen.

It seems like television shows could do a much better job of helping address heterosexism.

I posted something on this topic earlier today. Though it had more to do with privilege (what heterosexism implies and allows for).

Wonderful site here, though.
