Thanks, alex.

BTW, a SMART democrat could probably unseat the assemblyman to whom duvall was dripping, just by focussing on stupidity and hypocrisy. That other guy KNEW what was oging on, and said and did nothing.

The morals of a goat, I say.

Sent to the Chronicle today.

Dear Editor:

Assemblyman Michael Duvall, a staunch defender of traditional family "values" and marriage as a "sacred" bond between a man and a woman, has resigned his post following his inadvertently public admission to his Republican colleagues of two extramarital affairs with female lobbyists . Quite apart from his very serious ethical violations, for which I hope he is prosecuted, he has demonstrated both gross (in every sense of the word) stupidity and monumental hypocrisy. The latter is matched only by his conservative Republican colleagues, who apparently knew of his affairs, both business and "personal", and chose to look the other way.

Duvall has joined a long line of equally discredited, hypocritical moralizers who have attacked and demonized loving gay and lesbian couples as a threat to marriage, family, faith, children, morality, and freedom, while engaging in sleazy extramarital activity and serious ethical misconduct. Apparently, the best wayfor a heterosexual politician to defend families, morality, and the sacred bond of marriage, is to have an affair (John Ensign, John Edwards, Mark Sanford), get a divorce (Douglas Manchester, Rudy Giuliani), cruise a public place for sex (Larry Craig and many others), visit a prostitute (David Vitter, Ted Haggard), or hit on underaged boys (Mark Foley).

If this is leadership and values, it is no wonder that our country is such dire straights...so to speak.

PS I know this is not the proper spelling for "straits", but the pun is important!

EWWWW. When I read that drippy comment and look at his mug it sickens me. I am delighted that he exposed himself as he did. Good riddance to another hypocritical politician.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

When are we going to start PROSECUTING CONGRESS MEMBERS (?) FOR TAKING BRIBES?

Sexual bribes--this idiot, and dozens of others.

Cash bribes--just about everyone in the room last night, but especially Max Baucus--The Insurance MOB's Made Man in charge of maintaining their strangle hold on our bank accounts.

@Jutta Zalud: You might try finding them thru HRC. I know they keep the records for US Sen & Rep, not sure about state assemblies. Or try one of the CA LGBT political watch groups.

http://arc.asm.ca.gov/member/72/?p=article&sid=167&id=219702 now says "There are no data records to display."

Seems like the hetrosexuals are ruining their own marriages with out our marriages taking place. This gut is just another jerk that says one thing, and does just the oppsite.
Now I wonder which gay person put him up to messing around on his wife?
They are always quoting the bible against gays. But what does it say about adultry? they think that doesn't apply to them or what.

I want to see these ethics violations investigated. Sleeping with lobbyists is not the way to gain public trust.
