It could be that these thirty something women could not resist the old guy with power, influence and in a position to get them the recognition, promotions and bosnues that they deserve. Take a good look at this man would they even take a second look if it were not for his position?

Oh, come on. The guy is most likely just a crook, trading sexual favors for influence. When that part was threatening to come out and he was liable to be prosecuted, he changed his story. At least so far, the facts seem to suggest that. This should be thoroughly investigated, lurid details and all.

“Family Values” California state assemblyman representing Orange County, Republican Michael D. Duvall, resigns for apparently not cheating on his wife. Well you have to take his word for it, or maybe believe that hypocrisy has been bred in. In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while trying to take away rights of those they just hate) and that’s who they need to extract from their party if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”. He is just another name that can be added to the list of Republican 2009 summer of love: Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), SC Board of Ed Chair, Kristin Maguire.

I think it might have more to do with reports that he slept with a lobbyist than anything else. An affair is one thing, but violating laws … well traditional families don’t do well when daddy’s in jail.

I really, really hope that criminal charges and jailtime come out of this.

As a Californian, I have to believe that this is not an isolated event. It would be very interesting to find the two women, possibly give them immunity, and find out just how many votes are being bought in Sacramento by sexual or monetary favors.

If he was innocent he would have denied it right away. I still wouldn’t believe him but he didn’t even deny it until later?!?!?!
