@Joel Rosenberg -- What are the titles of your books? I love fantasy novels, and am always on the lookout for something new to read.

And is that Joel Rosenberg the same guy who wrote the series of fantasy novels about a group of college kids transported to an alternate universe where the Dungeons & Dragons game they’ve been playing is real?

@Polaris. Thanks and no problem. lol. I did 1.5 years of reparative therapy several years ago so I feel like I have a masters in it. This website and Daniel Gonzales were a big help after I "declined to continue pursuing that lifestyle."

I am glad to see that backwoods Indiana is going to be represented here aka Mike Pence. We had a special session to pass a budget and the Repugleneocons put on to be addressed is yet another ban on gay marriage (we already have one but they feel it isn't strong enough). He was also at the 9/12 Great White Hope Rally. Indiana's tourism slogan should be "Welcome to Indiana...Welcome to 1950"

Counting them before the eggs have even been laid, you mean! The 2010 campaign hasn't begun yet.

Jadvar,

I truly don't know how I feel about this, especially on the state and local level where I live: Arizona.

While indifference is terrible, at times, I would prefer political indifference (read: inaction) to outright political hostility (read: negative or reverse action). There have been many times when I have been tempted to vote Green Party or some other third party which have reflected my liberal views. However, living in Arizona, this vote would practically be a shoo-in for the more conservative Republican candidate at the local, state, and Federal levels.

In essence, by voting this third party, I would be making my individiual statement, but in so doing, I would be simultanously throwing away power to an otherwise "indifferent" LGBT voice and giving that vote to a potentially negatively-influenced, anti-LGBT conservative voice.

Oh, what to do? Is the power of "one-voice" third party vote worth practically guanranteeing a more potentially dangerous voice in legislative and executive positions?

The most practical solution would be what does not exist: bloc parties, wherein Green and Democratic parties (or Democratic Libertarian; Republican Libertarian, etc...) would combine powers and vote in bloc, similar to what exists in Canada and in other countries. I don't believe this can/would occur here due to either Constitutional and/or historical decree, but I am not sure.
