Chris, the last time I went to Starbucks (for a free cup of coffee) they only had their godawful Pike Place roast available. When I said that it isn't very good coffee, the barista offered to put a shot into it for me. Now, I think their espresso tastes like dishwater, but for some reason the two paired excellently together. You might try it sometime.

Positive messages like this make me wish I liked the products served by these companies.

I had the same trouble when McDonald's announced their support of SSM in California - I wish I liked their food, so I could support companies who support our community.

I just wish Starbucks coffee had good coffee that was worth the price they charge so I could support them supporting us....

Dilemma.

Equality is good for business, which is one thing that gives me hope. Back in 2000 when Ohio voters passed a pretty draconian law opposing same-sex marriage there was some concern that OSU's domestic partnership benefits could be declared illegal. So far it hasn't happened, but I've worried that the next step will be attempting to ban any form of domestic partnership benefits.

Remember, equality is good for business. I'm glad that there are large and prominent parts of the business world that are remembering this.
