I don't go to the Sears (now Willis) Tower or Navy Pier. I don't even go to the museums that much, though I have developed a fondness for the Art Institute. I visited DC about 20 years ago, and if it's still pretty much the same I could see how it might be difficult to develop an attachment. There didn't seem to be that much do to when I was there, except avoid swarms of gnats. Walking around my neighborhood is one of my favorite things to do too.
