It should be noted that Macri is a fairly popular or notable guy. Before getting into politics he was the president of Boca Juniors, the most famous and successful soccer club in Argentina, where he presided over a fairly good run of domestic and international championships.

He’s also “right-wing” at least as far as Argentine politics goes, not part of the Peronist/Kirchner crowd..
