NPR also covered the story with the author in late November. As usual bigots stormed their comment section.

Gotta love Rachel for bringing this issue to a bigger audience.

And gotta love BTB for being part of a group of watchdogs that (I assume) folks like Rachel goto for more information.

The U.S. and anybody who has a conscience should raise objections over Uganda. I wrote a letter to Rick Warren expressing my disappointment in his "Christian" failure to take up the cause of the lesser of these. I cc'd my letter to other church leaders as well.

This smacks of Nazi Germany and nobody in the so called "born again" crowd wants to speak up ...for fear that they may look pro gay to God.

It's shameful. My grandmother would roll over in her grave and say, my goodness...what is going on.

Given our history of meddling in other nations' affairs, there's no reason for us to hold back on this one. However, I'm not holding my breath, either. The U.S. government is generally quick to meddle when it's in our economic or political interests, but not so quick when it's just the lives of a bunch of unimportant people at risk.
