There has been no communal connection between Exodus and members of the LGBT community...it is only recently occurred, perhaps with Throckmorton as a bridge.

What we share in common is important.

What has poisoned the water for years can be discredited...

More risks are required.

"If true, and I believe it is, then Schmierer is being somewhat two-faced. His more recent ‘political correctness’ might have been imposed upon him. The idea that he was travelling and only came back to hear of the furor over the Ugandan bill sounds rather ‘iffy.’"

Damning, indeed.

Timothy Kincaid: I was unaware of this comment until a few days ago when a reader linked to it. I am attempting to follow up with the commenter. Until then, I cannot vouch for its veracity.

Yeah, that would be me. I posted it on the Exodus blog after the more recent post there from Don Schmierer concerning Rachel Maddow's 'expose' on him, and asked what was meant about the gay Nazi comment and the bit about keeping Uganda anti-gay (when it is obviously rather rabidly so without his help). Obviously, it did not see the light of day on the Randy Thomas controlled blog or I could tell you if it were truthful. So, Thomas or Schmierer may see this 'revelation' as somewhat damning.

The post seems rather innocent and offhand. The poster starts off noting that Schmierer is a rather nice fellow and it seems obvious from the post that they had an amicable conversation while crossing the ocean, even if the poster does not hold to Schmierer's viewpoint on what makes someone gay. To cap it off Schmierer must have given the man a book, further pointing to the veracity of the conversation that was related.
