Uganda has repressed its homosexuals for decades. This is nothing new, nor is vilifying them as pedophiles-rapists. The nation's penal code gives the death sentence to rapists, 14 years jail for sex with male minors and 18 for sex with female minors. Bahati's bill is an excellent tool to keep government critics in check. No one should be allowed to point to government corruption as the new oil and gas reserves are tapped. US senators from oil-rich states like Oklahoma have made an effort to maintain their "special" relationship with Uganda's leaders. Ssempa admits two important things in the part 2.
