This prepayment for services doesn’t sound like a charitable contribution to a religious organization. I would wonder about how this money is accounted for on Mr. Anderson and Scientology’s books. You don’t get to deduct the cost of your gallbladder operation at a Catholic hospital or the prepayment for furneral expenses at a Jewish cemetery.

I think that the IRS should look into this little dispute. That may not be good news for Scientology, but it might not be great news for Mr. Anderson either.

Also, I am wondering how long it is going to take for Scientology’s internet defenders to show up to defend Scientology, especially the guy that went on and on last time telling us that he is no longer a Scientologist, but just had to defend them against “unfair” attacks. Shouldn’t take long for Google alerts to kick in.
