Were I a recently laid-off FotF employee, I would be absolutely livid at this squandering of resources on such a loser campaign. "Focus on the Family?" How about "Obsessing on teh geyz?"

None of the donations are from DC residents.

This is a fact that should be loudly proclaimed in any pro-marriage-equality campaign messages to DC residents. Now would also be a good time for DC-based marriage-equality activists to begin their own fundraising efforts focusing on local contributions. It might also be a good time to begin message development and to clearly identify the outside influences that seem to again be determined to impose themselves upon DC.

I suggest that there are is a distinct advantage to getting ahead of the curve in any campaign, whether or not anything ultimately comes to a vote, just to be sure that pro-marriage-equality interests get a chance to shape the debate rather than simply react to attacks by the enemies of freedom.
