Thank you for the link to the Cafe.

The Church of Uganda has issued another press release claiming that ACNA and the Diocese of the Holy Spirit are in another "context" and should not be associated with the Church of Uganda's position on the bill/loopholes. Here's the release:

The Anglican Church of North America doesn't give a crap about the plight of gays in Uganda. All you need to do is to visit their flagship website "Stand Firm in Faith" I invite readers to do so. If you really want to see hypocrisy, hatred, and self righteousness just visit this site. Rarely is this Ugandan bill even commented on yet there are the daily myriad of tirades against evil gays, our contribution to the decline of society, and so forth. A bunch of so called Christians who seem to have forgotten to take a stand against hatred and murder. Try to make any contradictory comments and you are summarily dismissed from the site.

I like the idea but, I sure hope that it gets covered with care, as it could give a very black eye to the Episcopal Church in the US if it is not and the wrong message gets across to the public.

OK, done for North San Diego County in Southern California. We'll see if this gets any interest from the North County Times Faith and Values reporter, Jim Trageser. I hope he picks up on this, it would make a good story.
