Mark F., in a rational world you would be correct. But when our opponents use the word homosexual, of course, what they mean to convey is homoSEXual, as in "it's all about the sex acts." It's kind of like the old truism about real estate where the three most important things are location, location, and location. For our opponents the three most important things to know about homosexuals are SEX, SEX, and SEX.

That's why the American Family Association has a policy of always using the word "homosexual" instead of "gay" in their OneNewsNow articles. And that includes changing the words in articles from the Associated Press. A few years ago that policy backfired, and resulted in this hilarious article about sports figure, Tyson Gay.

Just shows why the bigots prefer to use the word homosexual (emphasis on SEX).. It polls well and avoids the nasty truth that these are men and women we’re talking about, not monsters.
