Nothing seems to have come of it. I didn't even get a response when I sent my message to the support team.

It's worth noting that the ProjectSEE website contains a <a href="http://www.projectsee.com/mikebray.html" rel="nofollow">letter of endorsement</a> on it from convicted domestic terrorist <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Bray" rel="nofollow">Michael Bray</a>.

"It’s also been suggested to ask search engines to remove them,"

It would be great if the search engines removed (de-index is the term) ProjectSEE, but I am not sure that that is realistic. Search engines usually de-index a site for using abusive or fraudulent search optimization techniques, malware distribution or phishing. ProjectSEE is different from that, so I don't know if the search engines would actually de-index them, but one could try.

I think what was meant was to contact the various firms (including search engines) that operate web parental controls or rating services to make sure that ProjectSEE is listed as a hate site and unsuitable-for-children site.

For example, most antivirus software has an optional setting that blocks sites unsuitable for children, hate sites, hacking sites, etc. To give a specific case, the "Parental Controls" option for Trend Micro Internet Security software by default excludes "Crime," "Violence/hate/racism" and "cult." So, the point would be to make sure that ProjectSEE gets on those lists of hate, crime and cult sites.

Search engines also have a user preference that filters out pornography, for example Google SafeSearch. This is different from de-indexing. I think it was suggested to get ProjectSEE listed as a hate site or unsuitable for children site on those type of filters operated by the search engines themselves. I don't know for sure if this would work for non-pornography sites.

Also Internet Explorer and possibly other browsers, has a parental control option that also blocks certain sites.

ProjectSEE is a recent site, so I think the point is to make sure it gets on those lists of hate sites and unsuitable for children sites, for example.

Another suggestion that has been made is to not link to ProjectSee, which would increase their rank in search engine results unless you use the "no follow" tag.

It's also been suggested to ask search engines to remove them. And, as well as PayPal, GAAI have asked Yahoo to remove Project SEE.com's services.

I've been thinking of using GoDaddy to set up websites. What other sites can be recommended for setting up my new sites?

@Timothy :: Yes as a consultant I have a number of clients that manage all of their Domain Registrations using GoDaddy. I contacted them today - but word is that the powers that be @ GoDaddy are extremely fox news types - if you know what I mean.

I own a couple of sites through GoDaddy myself. I'll get onto them and tell them what I think of them.
