snakeoil!? lol

i haven't watched a good hoodoo movie in ages... why bother? it's more entertaining to watch real life christians on tv trying to sell miracle oils and dove feathers from israel... guaranteed rib-breaker:-D

...sad part is, people are buying it.

...could it be desperacy? or excellent conman skills? or a combination? recipe for a new religion.

But will the miracle juice prevent our children from catching a nasty case of teh gay in our marxist-socialist public schools?

Or should we continue to keep them out of there and just homeschool them, just to be safe?

Thanks for finding it, richard.

Jim you are quite correct, but I knew there was a citation. I was just too lazy to dig it up.

The Lahaye's son, Lee, seems to have been outed by Mike Rogers in this posting at blogACTIVE:

. . . Considering that the Chief Financial Officer of Concerned Women for America, Lee LaHaye is himself an openly gay man, you have to wonder why they continue to bash gays. How bad can gays be if CWA trusts its $12 MILLION 2003 budget to Lee? Oh, If Lee's name sounds familiar, it's because Lee is the son of Beverly and Tim LaHaye, two of the most noted anti-gay characters in the country.

. . . So, without further delay, blogACTIVE presents the J. Edgar Hoover Award to Lee LaHaye of Concerned Women for America for simultaneously working to destroy the progress of gay and lesbian Americans while living an openly gay life.

BTW, Richard, I believe one of those children is a big ol' mo. I seem to remember reading something about that some years ago.

Seems like the LaHaye's and ther Schlafly's have so much to talk about besides theocracy.

I've long been fascinated by the Christian radio stations that devote Saturdays mostly to infomercials promoting miracle-products similar to vemma, the one being hawked by Beverly LaHaye on the linked webpage included in Jim's post. The marketers know a fertile market when they see one - in this case people who are predisposed to believing the unbelievable, believing things too good to be true, and believing in miracles.

And on another note, I'd have thought that the tons of cash earned by Tim LaHaye from his multiple Left Behind books would be way more than enough to fund CWA until The Rapture. But maybe Tim and Bev know that the Rapture-talk is a fraud, and that they need their money to maintain a handsome lifestyle and still have lots of it leftover for their children.
