I like the new flag. I hope it does catch on. The way HRC sucks up to the powerful and rich while they step on us folks out here does not equal being the spokespeople for our community anymore.

And as a transperson, their lack of support for the trans community makes me even less empathetic. Every time they have those $300/plate dinners here in Seattle, I know probably 70% of that money is going right back to DC. Unless we’re facing a ballot thing. Apparently that’s the only grassroots work worth funding.

Most likely HRC will get some sort of copyright infringement thing going on. Wave it while it lasts, y’all!

If there is ANY information on marketing these flags or signs for sale, I’d like to know.

Current organizations such as the HRC are not representing the LGBT community effectively. Their time for pacifism is over as we move into an era of demand for equal rights!

In 2009 I gave my usual significant donation to HRC in January. For the next three months they hounded me to renew my membership. I wrote them, called them, emailed them, sent them a copy of my check. I received a rather nasty letter, followed by a nasty phone call asking me why I hadn’t renewed my membership. I’ve removed myself from everything HRC! My money is going to local gay rights organizations now. That way I can see my dollars at work and know the people who are working my dollars. HRC — never again!

I think that all the donations are going for big salaries for the big shots at HRC. I quit donating last November. Last month I got a renewal membership renewal and they wanted me to donate more money. The only thing I donate to is the Disabled Veterans and have been for 48 years. Until HRC starts doing something for us they wont be getting anymore money from me!!

You know? HRC has been dealing with this for a while now. No matter what they do, they are still linked to this and for some reason i think they are loosing supporters faster than a balloon looses air when poked.
