I am glad to hear that. In the small town that I grew up, in the 1990s there was a anti-gay, super-religious doctor. He regularly had his letters to the editor printed in the local newspaper. He became Chief of Staff of the hospital of the town. He wrote a letter using that title when he wrote a nasty anti-gay letter that was published in the paper. The hospital in turn wrote a letter that the doctor had incorrectly used his title in the letter. It was quit a little blowup in a small southern town.

Why not refute the scam letter with the facts in the real AAP letter?

Telling Superintendents to “go find the facts from a reputable source” is not the best way to respond to a letter that enumerated misinformation about homosexuality and “reorientation”.

The response letter should have been in-kind.

Some superintendents will be too lazy to read the facts from reputable sources.
