I didn&#039;t go through an ex-gay program but I constructed one for myself that was just as demoralizing as Bussee&#039;s experience. I can&#039;t read this without thinking how difficult it is revisit the story about how one deludes ones self, persist with a idea until it&#039;s failure can no longer be hidden. It&#039;s a dreadful feeling to reach that point when you finally understand that all the promise of change simply isn&#039;t going to come and that you could have spent your time loving yourself for what you are.</description>
