Which is a far cry from having raving, frothing at the mouth mobs of people chanting for my blood and death. But, I know that we USA LGBTs cannot rest on our laurels, because these Christian Taliban leaders want to bring this type of public fervor to our shores and if enough right wing, religious extremist politicians get elected to public office, we too could see such a law passed here in the United States. Seeing what’s happening to gays in Uganda sure makes me glad to live here in the good old USA, even if I am treated as a second class citizen when compared to my heterosexual counterparts.
