Yeah, I seem to remember another MA Republican governor who was very gay supportive.

His name was Mitt Romney.

I have relatives from Mass who are registered Republican. Oh, and they have no problem with their same-sex attracted cousins. Mass. Republicans are often more socially liberal than most Democrats, as evidenced by their voting records.
