Because the last time I checked Christians weren’t trying to deny the act of homosexuality the ability to adopt kids. Or denying the act of homosexuality the right to visit its loved ones.

And the real amusing one is denying military service to gay people whether they commit any acts of homosexuality or not. Simply being an openly gay person will get you banned.

No, Carol Anne, your smug and self-congratulatory denial does not sell to others because they really do listen to what you say, but they also see what it is that you do. And it is because you speak a good game but do real harm to your neighbor that they don’t respect you.

All of your animosity, Carol Anne, is directed towards real living breathing people, not to “acts”. And the world sees this even if you don’t.

You see, Carol Anne, same-sex attracted people exist. And your desire to pretend that they don’t will only make the rest of society see you as needlessly cruel.

Sexual perversion will! Anarchy will! But now is the time for key men and women, even an entire generation to risk everything to become the hinge of history, the pivotal point which determines which way the door will swing in America and in the nations of the earth.
