Should we be at all surprised? You know polygamy is a slippery slope. If you allow it then you have to allow incest, beastiality, & same sex marriages.

NOM argues that gay marriage will lead to polygamy, so this stuff must confuse the hell out of them!

Actually, I have nothing against polygamy per se between consenting adults (although it’s generally really sexist—they rarely allow a woman to have two husbands), but I don’t see any compelling reason the government should officially recognize it.

that explains why he hates gay people… they disrespect divine instructions to marry many wives and have lots of kids… they’re not ‘real men’… they’re letting down Team Patriarchy… they represent cracks in the dyke of patriarchy (an ancient dyke supported by the selective use of religious texts and strategic definitions of culture). one day that dyke will burst and equality will flood the earth. if only i could live to see that day.

Mugabe just gave more religious oxygen to the issue. Just as anti gay sentiment is religious based also.

Apparently citing the Bible for all kinds of BS is going to be par for the course as straight men entitle themselves to interpret the Bible for their own freedom and no one else’s.

Let’s see what American polygamists do with this.
They going to blame gays, or Christians for any restrictions?

Just goes to show, as I’ve always maintained, that polygamists NEVER had to wait for gay equality to make their stand. They’ve ALWAYS had the floor to make their case on their own.

This also proves that gay couples marrying in America is still within the same requirements as op sex couples.

But of course, the opposition doesn’t care to discuss the REALITIES of the subject.
Wonder if they are going to use this as a rational basis for marriage bans here, like they cite the welfare state that subverts the need and responsibilities for marriage in places like the Netherlands and Sweden.

I don’t think they’ve EVER used gay people as examples for the bans, now that I think about it.
But social situations that heterosexuals have always been in control of.
And screwed up without the participation of gay people as well.

Go. Figure.
