apparently he got tired of people questioning his lies and his math and reminding him of the utter failure he is involved in.

I had no idea, but he was in Indy yesterday, I had never seen his face and a link to his facebook page provided elsewhere made me recognize him as one of the guys walking around he plaza.

He went from star of the show to stage hand in less than 3 weeks. Apparently Maggie Moo has a problem sharing the spotlight.

If NOM wanted to seem palatable to a non-crazy public, the only way now is to publicly fire Marinelli.

Organizations ultimate reflect the character and tropes and mental health of the people/person at their core.

If NOM appears wacko, the reason for that will lie largely in Maggie's choices and mental condition.

My considered opinion, after seven years of observations, is that the bulk of the hardcore anti-marriage activists (and "family values" activists generally) are a socially paranoid but assertive, sexually agitated, and rigid religion championing bunch whose common denominator is being fairly functional but generally undiagnosed sufferers of bipolar disorder.

Bipolar disorder is about deficient activity of inhibitory neural circuitry, about continuing thoughts and emotion and sensory impressions usually suppressed by the nervous system as not worth further attention. It's about suffering excessive compulsions and aversions- sensory, cognitive, and emotional. And that results in instances of Mel Gibson-ish choices and misjudgments and lapses of rational control.

I've seen the Phelpses and Wirthlins and Parkers and several other activists of the stripe up close. I'm not a psychiatrist, but these people are aberrant in that particular direction. I've never seen her up close, but on the few things I know about Mrs. Srinavastav I wouldn't be surprised if it's similar for her.

Maggie's back being the mouth piece and Brian's AWOL. Louis has apparently been told distance himself, or at least try to. Seems like some of those mysterious donors weren't too happy with the way this summer tour was playing out.

I've gotten the impression from what I've seen him write that he thinks he's not affiliated because he isn't paid.

And that's horse----. If you're a volunteer, you're still an employee, because you work for your company at their pleasure. As a volunteer, you have to make your bosses happy the same as if you were paid. Sure, there's a different standard, but it's not like you can't get fired from a volunteer job - especially if you're in a PR position and you go *way* off-message!

If NOM wanted to seem palatable to a non-crazy public, the only way now is to publicly fire Marinelli. I take that back, actually - the time for firing him was weeks ago.

Yeah, NOM is now trying a high road/low road strategy. That's falling on its face too.
