I’ve gone over the interview and the quotes from Maggie and Louis. I’ve corrected my blog post to reflect correct facts:

Maggie didn’t deny knowing Louis. She misheard the person asking her the question and then subsequently stated there was no affiliation between NOM and Protect Marriage: One Man, One Woman (to which Louis moderates).

This has since been proven false after Louis confirmed a summer partnership for the purpose of the tour.

It’s hard to say. I’ll dig up the video. It’s on prop 8 trial tracker. She either outright denied knowing him or didn’t hear the question completely.

It was right around the “I’m not Brian’s keeper” comment.

Dogs appear in so many print ads and TV commercials for a very good reason. There is a unique bond between humans and dogs, and that is probably one of the few areas of common ground that we share with our rabid anti-gay adversaries. Just observe the instinctive ways that humans and dogs commonly respond to each other. It’s evolution at work, I think.

So it might be helpful for our people to take more friendly dogs to the tour venues. Dogs can be great conversation starters.

Although we don’t have a dog, I like to fuss with our neighbor’s dogs. The dogs like it, and their owners seem to like it. Actually, it’s the dogs who appear most eager for the attention, and then I pretend that I’m just accommodating the dogs.

When you write negatively about dogs, you do it at your own peril. And that may be part of reason for Marinelli being put on a short leash.

As to why Miss Piggy would marginalize Looney Lou, remember that NOM is trying to walk a very fine line stirring up hatred and resentment for LGBT’s while maintaining a facade of compassion and victimhood. A line that is becoming thinner and thinner each day.
